For our location in CH-3400 Burgdorf or DE-St. Blasien, we are searching for a
Head of Product Management Europe & Rest of World.
In this key leadership role, you combine strategic vision with hands-on execution and you will shape the future product landscape of the Aebi Schmidt Group. You hold full end-to-end responsibility for product lifecycle management and act as a driving force for continuous improvement, innovation, and portfolio transformation across the business segments Sweepers, Snow & Ice, Airport, and Agriculture. In this role you report directly to the Head Group Product Management & Innovation and play an active role in executing the European business strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Product Portfolio Management
- Assume full responsibility for the European product strategy and the further development of all product portfolios.
- Develop a clear product vision, multi-year roadmaps, and prioritize innovation and investment areas.
- Ensure an integrated, market-oriented, and profitable product portfolio across all business segments.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle with a strong focus on profitability and continuous optimization.
Market, Competitor & Customer Intelligence
- Analyze relevant market, customer, and competitive developments in Europe and globally.
- Identify technological trends and translate them into strategic implications for the product strategy.
- Align closely with Sales, R&D, Production, Operations, Marketing, and Service.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making across all product-related matters.
- Represent the product strategy to internal and external stakeholders, customers, associations, and partners.
- Prepare executive-level insights and documentation to support informed decisions and strategic prioritization.
Strategic Initiatives & Transformation
- Execute and steer strategic initiatives to strengthen market position and competitiveness.
- Initiate and implement improvements in product and process landscapes (e.g., product data management, configurators, digital services).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Product Management organization and across interfaces.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a diverse European Product Management team across four locations.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, customer orientation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Coach and develop product managers across all business segments to enhance capabilities and performance.
Commercial Excellence & Market Presence
- Prepare, plan, and execute successful product launches.
- Contribute to strategically important tenders.
- Support and represent the company at customer meetings, committees, and trade fairs.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Several years of international leadership experience in product management.
- Proven track record in driving strategic transformation and navigating complex, cross-functional matrix environments.
- Experience in managing portfolios of technically sophisticated products (e.g., commercial vehicles, specialty vehicles, mechanical engineering).
- Ability to translate vision into actionable strategies and measurable results.
- Strong track record in leading and developing high-performing, interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong cost awareness with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and budget discipline.
- Proactive and resilient mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent PowerPoint skills for high-quality management and executive presentations.
- Fluency in English and German is required.
