SAP Senior Consultant Logistics

The SAP senior logistics consultant works cross module in different logistics areas. He ensures support for the SAP modules as well as the supporting systems which are required to run the end to end processes.

He leads projects in the logistics area and acts as sub-project lead in large initiatives like SAP country rollouts or the upcoming SAP S/4 HANA transformation. The process analysis in the logistics area in conjunction with the various business partner is a major task followed by the implementation of the identified changes in accordance with the overall system architecture.

2.    Tasks and Responsibilities

• Contact person for business users within the support organization for the SAP logistics area and supporting systems
• Work on SAP projects representing the logistics modules (SAP rollouts & large company projects)
• Become the IT-Owner for all SAP variant configuration related topics (LO-VC, AVC, web-based configuration tool, quote print out)
• Support configuration related initiatives like the SAP S/4 AVC implementation
• Process analysis for SAP in conjunction with the various business partner
• implementing system changes in accordance with the system architecture (Customizing, testing, documentation)          
• Create and maintain the process & customizing documentation
• Create development specifications for new ABAP developments & interfaces
• Coordinate the external providers for change requests
• Provide training to global & local business users

• Functional SD/LO-VC/MM consultant with hands on experience to lead midsize projects
• Understands the business context of the position and is willing to proactively work with the business counter parts
• Open personality which likes to work in an international setup with a distributed team setup
• Acts service and solution oriented and is eager to learn new topics
• Works independently within the team and is willing to go the extra mile if required
• Good communication and organization skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English (German is a plus)

Professional Competence

• Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience as functional SD/MM consultant
• 2 – 3 years’ experience working with SAP LO-VC in the context of SAP implementations
• Deep knowhow within the main SAP logistics processes including customizing
• Deep knowhow on the integration to all logistic modules in use at Aebi Schmidt (MM, SD, LO-VC, PP)
• Good understanding of SAP interface technologies (RFC, IDOC, web services)
• Good understanding of SAP development (user exits, routines and forms)
