For our Corporate Service Center in Katowice we are currently looking for a:

Manager of Strategic Sourcing - Europe

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the team for strategic sourcing for the various plants to fulfill business targets
• Define the roles and tasks for the team members and develop the people
• Definition and further development of the sourcing strategy (top priority we focus on) in a team with R&D, quality management and operational purchasing etc.
• Review and further development of existing as well as selection and qualification of new suppliers and partners (supplier management)
• Identification of optimisation potentials also through bundling of requirements, standardisation and creation of synergies
• Drive and realize cost reduction initiatives/projects
• Price and contract negotiations with suppliers
• Continuous observation and analysis of global trends in the procurement markets
• Optimisation of purchased parts through innovative impulses from key suppliers (early involvement in the product development process

Our Requirements

• Completed commercial/technical bachelor studies
• Technical background or some years in technical sourcing experience
• Several years of relevant professional experience as a strategic sourcing leader for production materials and/or indirect materials in a global industrial company
• Hands-on mentality
• Sound knowledge of national and international contract law as well as negotiation methods
• Good user skills in MS Office and SAP
• Quality awareness, affinity for technology and production as well as entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Confident appearance, very good moderation and negotiation skills as well as excellent communication skills at all levels
• Intercultural competence, high willingness to travel as well as business fluent English skills
