Assistant Manager Group Accounting

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager – Group Accounting to join our Corporate Service Center in Katowice. In this role, you will actively support the transformation of our organization as we prepare for a planned listing on the NASDAQ, following the acquisition of the US-based Shyft Group.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work in a dynamic, international environment and play a key role in a highly visible corporate transition.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide broad support within Group Accounting, working across multiple functions and geographies
- Act as key contact for local finance teams, ensuring accurate and consistent accounting practices
- Contribute to the group-wide transition to US GAAP and enforce accounting policies
- Collaborate on the SOX implementation project and support internal control frameworks
- Identify and drive improvements in accounting and financial reporting processes
- Maintain lease accounting according to US GAAP
- Prepare and review the transfer pricing documentation and calculations
- Ensure tax compliance and prepare group-wide tax reporting (e.g., CbCR, GLOBE, corporate income tax)
- Collaborate with external advisors, such as auditors, legal and tax consultants
Your profile:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 4–5 years of post-graduate experience in accounting, finance or audit (Big4 experience is a plus)
- Practical knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
- Experience with SOX compliance is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Fluent English is required; knowledge of German is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
- A pragmatic, hands-on personality with a high level of accountability and team spirit
