Background

Our machines are increasingly being equipped with a telematics system to support the daily business of our customers and ensure our machines are functioning accurately.

To this end, our modems are equipped with a software application that processes the data from the various machines and transmits it to our cloud application.

For the team developing this application, we are looking for a Team Leader.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary management of the modem software development team in Wageningen with currently 3 employees
• Coordination of feature development with the control system teams in Holten, Sankt Blasien and Burgdorf and with the cloud software development team in Wageningen
• Provide technical leadership to team through coaching and mentorship
• Develop standards of software quality, best practices and coding standards
• Evaluation of new development projects and determination of resource requirements together with the product owner/manager
• Resource and capacity planning of the modem software development team in Wageningen together with other stakeholders (Head Group Digital Solutions, Head Project Mgmt.)
• Ensuring project/task implementation within the given framework conditions (time, costs, scope) in coordination with the project manager
• Prioritization between R&D project tasks, serial support tasks and problem analysis

Job requirements (must have)

• Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, related fields or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent people skills
• >5 years of software development experience, preferably in the embedded domain
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience with CI/CD
• Independent and structured way of working
• Problem solving & analytical skills with a solution oriented personality
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with cooperative mindset
• Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English

Job requirements (nice to have)

• Proficiency in German
